A "Trying" Year

It hasn't been a "trying year", but it has been a little over a year of trying.

Can you believe that last May is when we first began our journey to start a family? So much has happened with our fertility treatments since then. A year ago, we were so blindly optimistic that the very first IUI would bring us the baby we wanted so much..... We have learned a lot since then. Tried a lot of different drugs and different regimens since then.

For an entire year, I have handed over control of my body to a Doctor hoping that the result will be that I am allowed to relinquish control to a little baby who can take residence in my belly for 9 months.

We're still hopeful. With IVF, the numbers are more stacked in our favor, and soon we'll be ready to start that  process. It's exciting to think about the future. Thrilling even. It's great to see the twinkle in Tim's eye when he talks about "the babies" as he often does.
